A
National Science Foundation-funded conference hosted by Rice University
to create a Texas-wide
network of teachers and administrators, scientists, education researchers,
industry representatives, and other educational stakeholders focused
on modeling, visualization, and interaction with complex data sets
as effective tools for teaching and learning science and mathematics.
The purpose of this network is to identify the issues involved in
designing programs that facilitate the implementation of modeling
and scientific visualization in high school mathematics and science
classrooms.
