CS-CAMP Calendars for 2003

Spring 2003 --

Student Applications for the program due by the end of March, 2003.

June 2003 --

       Summer Program at Rice:
The summer program will last for three weeks, from June 9th through June 27th, 2003. Not everyone involved in CS-CAMP will be on campus all three weeks. Here are some of the more important dates.

Week One -- June 9th - 13th.
       Teachers will be here all week, Counselors will be here on June 9th.
--- June 9th. Teachers and counselors will meet in one of the large classrooms, along with the teachers in the TeacherTECH program, for a morning session on the topic of diversity. After lunch, the teachers and Master Teachers will plunge into their first computer science lessons of the week.
--- June 10th through June 13th. CS Teachers and Master Teachers will continue to work on computer science, preparing for the sessions with the students the next week. They will meet in the Symonds I Lab and/or a classroom.

Week Two -- June 16th - 20th.
       This is the first week of camp for the students. Teachers will also be here all week.
--- June 16th. The day will begin with a tour of Rice, and an introduction to the types of activities we will have in the camp.     
--- June 17th through June 20th. Teachers and students will work with the Master Teachers in various classrooms, and in the Symonds I and Symonds II computer labs.

Week Three -- June 23rd - 27th.
       Teachers and students are both here all week. Counselors will be here on June 23rd.
--- June 23rd. The counselors will be in to observe, as the teachers and students continue to work. 
--- June 24th through June 27th. Teachers and students will continue their work with the Master Teachers in various classrooms, and in the Symonds I and Symonds II computer labs.
